I’m Czech artist and anthropologist living in Prague, Czech Republic.
I am trying to express some message with my artworks, to tell a story, open uncomfortable topics, reflect and analyse some sociocultural phenomena, break taboos and deviate from generally accepted cultural constructs. I am portraying almost exclusively feminine characters, who are incorporated with deep symbolism and story.
I am focusing on stories connected to motherhood (including childlessness and the experience of baby loos), perception of a body and sexuality.
I exhibited my artworks besides Czechia also in Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Germany and many more… (as listed here). My art exhibitions are sometimes also some kind of psychomagical acts with wider message and overlap into spiritual~ritualistic experience.
I am using combination of techniques and experimenting with different kind of paints, pens and substances on photograph, canvas or any kind of suitable surface.
As an anthropologist I finished one fieldwork in Morocco and currently teaching at Charles University and working on my PhD with fieldwork in Peru, where I worked for several years as a tour guide for travel agency Alvarez.
My anthropological education very deeply influences my artistic expression, however art gives me much more expressive freedom than lectures or academical publications, because my message is being spread directly and to much wider audience.
I am also working for Beseder Gallery, where I organize art exhibitions and wide range of cultural events.
